Nielsen come out with the smartphone stats eyes iPhone vs, Android

Android trails iPhone by a 9 % points in a recent study by Nielsen.

This stats tell that on overall U.S. market share, Android is the single fastest-growing mobile platform and Apple's iOS shows an ever-so-slight decline.

Other competitors like BlackBerry and Windows Mobile, show sharp declines over the past quarter. Still, BlackBerry is the top mobile OS is on top of the hill with around 30 percent of the total market share.

Apple again in news, factory workers poisoned by toxic gas while assembling Apple devices.

ABC Australia had published a report that workers working for apple for facing health problems due to exposure of n-hexane, a harmful chemical which is used to polish and glue your iPhone's touchscreen.

This is second time this year, factory workers allegedly assembling displays for Apple devices have been sickened by exposure to n-hexane.

"My hands were numb. I could hardly walk," says one worker."My legs still hurt. This will accompany me for the rest of my life. It's very painful," commented another employee who was poisoned by n-hexane at a Wintek factory earlier this year.

Apple shares falls despite strong profit reports.

After reporting xpectations-beating profits of $4.3bn (£2.7bn) for the last quarter, Apple shares drop 7% in after-hours trading, despite reporting.

Apple's shares have hit saturation point, and the drop may be due to speculators selling to lock in profits.

The after-hours selloff may also have been influenced by underwhelming sales of Apple's new tablet computer - the iPad, which came it at just 4.2 million.

Apple working on iPhone variants?

Shaw Wu of Kaufman Bros. said Apple is currently working on two versions of the new iPhone one will have a larger screen than the current iPhone 4 may be 4+ inch screen size lol and another with a smaller screen for low-end or entry-level iPhone market segment.

According to Wu’s supply chain sources, two different models are being built and are ready to be released soon. And although Apple has a history of making its smartphone release an annual thing.

The new patent joining the apple's intellectual property is Hand-held capacitive sensor device.

The handheld device uses capacitive sensors to recognize your identity just by the way you hold it, and subsequently personalize the device's buttons and settings to your hand based on your user profile.

The other thing you could grip a handheld with either hand, and it would automatically generate "button zones" under each finger using sensors (or disappearing buttons, perhaps) baked right into the chassis, making cries of "you're holding it wrong" hopefully fade into obscurity.

Europen Union plans to close Apple antitrust investigation case.

Good news for the Apple. European Union had decided to bury the apple antitrust investigation file in wake up relaxation in policy changes.

The EU joined the US Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission in investigating why appple chose to block third-party dev tools. "The Commission intends to close the investigations into these matters," it wrote earlier today.

Soon Apple may be selling News Content (Digital Newspaper and Magazines)

After dominating the Entertainment world with iTunes, apple so may be adding magazine and newspaper subscriptions to its distribution.

One of the article in Wall Street Journal claims to have further inside information about Apple's digital newsstand, saying that Apple has stepped up its efforts to court publishers for a launch "as early as the next month or two."

According to "people familiar with the matter," Apple is pressing news and magazine conglomerates to get on board with Apple. The industry people believe that it might provide some revenue and at the same time fearing that Apple might dominate this area similar to Entertainment with its iTunes for so long.

So far, Apple has allegedly participated in talks with News Corp., Hearts Corp., Time Inc., and Condé Nast. None of the above companies are sure at this point of time to join the apple train but apple has hinted that one of them had already joined them.
